Guest speaker - Shannon Rotenberg!
Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg started her career with non-profit organizations and the entertainment industry while at Creative Artists Agency, a talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles. She was a Program Director within their philanthropic division for six years before helping to launch the just keep livin Foundation.
Founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey, the goal of the just keep livin Foundation is to empower high school kids by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future. The well-rounded curriculum that just keep livin has created in partnership with Scholastic helps students to form healthy relationship and life skills using the building blocks of fitness, wellness, nutrition, community service, and gratitude. Shannon continues to serve as Executive Director of the just keep livin Foundation, which now has 41 programs that reach more than 2500 kids in 11 cities across the nation, including schools in California, Louisiana, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Washington D.C.
Shannon is also the Executive Director of the Faith, Fight, Finish Foundation, created by Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, after losing his mother to colorectal cancer. Faith Fight Finish invests in the future of our youth by empowering individuals, families, and communities to find strength through adversity. The foundation works with organizations including Stand Up To Cancer to focus on fighting cancer, and offers assistance to those facing life-challenging hardships through grants and sponsorships. Additionally, the foundation is focused on initiatives including: police training, education and advocacy, and mental health.
Shannon serves on the Board of Angels for Baby2Baby, which provides children living in poverty with the basic necessities that every child deserves. She also works with the Harold Robinson Foundation, which provides impoverished children with enriching camp retreats. Shannon was a founding chair of Kidstock, which benefited One Voice’s scholarship program in Los Angeles, and also volunteers her time overseeing The Faro Foundation, whose primary focuses are helping children and supporting education-related causes. Additionally, she spent six years on the Carlthorp School’s Board of Trustees, working to shape long-term vision and planning as part of the school’s dedication to excellence.
Come hear Shannon's inspiring story! We look forward to seeing you there!
