    Playa Vista (TechBiz) Team Meeting

    OUR GUEST SPEAKER!

MATT ATWOOD has established a successful career as an innovative medical sales, manufacturing and marketing leader, and award-winning keynote speaker.

He is also the President and Founder behind LoneStar Life Sciences, a multi-vertical company with subsidiaries in healthcare (LoneStar MedTech) and agriculture (LoneStar AgriTech). With Matt's unique healthcare experience in medical manufacturing, medical distribution, corporate medical sales training and medical product innovation, he has been able to bridge the gap between healthcare, agriculture, and environmentally friendly technologies for the future of America.

As a healthcare educator and patient advocate for natural phytobiotic (plant-based) alternatives for health and wellness, Matt has become a lightning rod for the economic, environmentally friendly, and healthy benefits of vertical farming, commercial hemp, and medical cannabis.

To fuel his passion for making a difference by enforcing his belief for fundamentally changing under-served communities through education, technology, and healthy food availability, Matt recently joined the non-profit organization “Reach Out & Rise Up” as a board member.

“Never before has Mother Earth been more at risk than she is right now. We are witnessing the destruction of our planet on a logarithmic scale. We are experiencing the harsh impacts from climate change as a result of global warming; including deadly heat waves, extreme weather events, toxic pollution of our air and water supply, and extinction level threats to life on our planet. No longer can we ignore or deny that human activities, including the burning of fossil fuels and the destruction to our natural environment, are responsible for global warming. We can no longer wait for “someone else” to protect our world. As stewards of our environment, it is our moral obligation to protect it. Humans have broken the delicate balance, and it is our responsibility to fix it. We are the only solution. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, but expecting different results. Let's stop this insanity now! To protect our future, we must fundamentally change the way we do things. We must change our focus, change our goals and change our behavior in order to change our outcome.
It’s time to be smart. It’s time to be aware. It’s time to act. We must embrace clean energy and create technologies that support a healthy and sustainable future. The time is now. It’s up to us. I promise you, LoneStar Life Sciences will lead this change.”  - Matt Atwood
