My journey in entrepreneurship started when I was 14 years old, after I launched a YouTube channel to promote music that I was producing at the time. After becoming extremely interested in music promotion, I started a record label and, in order to generate press for my artists, I began writing for a variety of music blogs. I told them I was a decade older than I was.

My work in this area captured the attention of a number of other record labels and artists who began to hire me to run publicity campaigns. I had pivoted once again, becoming a fairly successful publicist at 15. One of my clients was Alexandre Williams, co-founder of Create Music Group, which is now one of the fastest growing independent music companies in the world. Earlier this year, Create Music Group was named the 2nd fastest growing private company in the United States by Inc Magazine. Alex hired me to run a campaign for his artist, Gold Top who had a song with Soulja Boy and it went very well. I was able to get the song written about on a variety of publications such as Complex , Billboard , Pigeons & Planes and more. We struck up a friendship.

When Create secured its seed financing, Alex rang me up and asked if I’d consider coming to work for them as one of the company’s first employees. He flew me out to Los Angeles to help run business development for them. Alex actually had no idea what my age was until he picked me up at LAX that summer. I became Vice President of Business Development for Create at the age of 16.

While I was working around the clock to bring in new business for Create, I came across a very exciting channel on what was then Flighthouse was at 1M followers and I instantly saw its potential as a music and media brand on the platform, which was growing in popularity among young people around the world. I talked to Alex’s partner, Create co-founder and CEO Jonathan Strauss, telling him I thought we should invest in Flighthouse. Jon was encouraging. If I was that confident in Flighthouse’s prospects, he said we should just acquire the channel and we did

Since then we have grown Flighthouse from 1M followers, to more than 30M followers across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube). We are on track to do $5M in revenue this year and we have built in Flighthouse the leading Gen Z brand and agency. Earlier this year we were named a Most Innovative Company by Fast Company .

As we look to expand our reach in emerging areas, we acquired the hugely popular podcast, “Teenager Therapy,” the largest mental health podcast for teenagers. “Teenager Therapy” has been featured in NY Times , Good Morning America and more and recently interviewed The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Harry and Meghan) on World Mental Health Day.

My team and I at Flighthouse strive to be trailblazing and tasteful in everything we do, leveraging the power of social media to create positive and mindful content. We’ve created several successful short-form series such as “Finish The Lyric,” “Dance Charades” and more, featuring the biggest influencers and internet stars in the world. With our agency business we’ve contributed to a number of hugely successful hits such as Surfaces “Sunday Best,” Arizona Zervas’ “Roxanne” and many others.

In the coming months we are launching a digital-first record label with 10k Projects and are launching a physical space on Sunset Boulevard where we want to bring together the most influential figures in the world at the intersection of fashion, music, internet and more to create culture. Our space was recently profiled in The New York Times.

We look forward to seeing you there!
