Matt - firstname.lastname@example.org, 213-300-2719 Position Description Firm: Monograph Wealth Advisors Title: Client Service & Wealth Management Associate Reports to: Sean Shannon, Partner Status: Full Time Date: February 9, 2018 General Description Monograph is searching for a Client Service & Wealth Management Associate to join our boutique wealth management firm at The Point in El Segundo. We advise ultra-high net worth families as their trusted advocates in a non-Wall Street, enjoyable, and high-paced atmosphere. This is a great opportunity for an experienced client services, administrative, financial planning, and/or financial operations professional to add value to a fast-growing firm. A strong candidate should be an organized, detail oriented, self-motivating, problem solver who enjoys interacting with clients and has exceptional computer skills. Skills and Experience Required: Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced Typing Skills (60+ wpm), and comfort with computer applications and systems. Desired: Fidelity Wealth Central, Pershing NetX360, Schwab Institutional, CRM (SalesForce/Redtail), Financial Planning (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) and e-signature platforms (Docusign). Knowledge/Experience: Must have basic financial literacy regarding types of investment accounts (IRAs, Trusts, 401(k)'s, Donor Advised Funds etc.), securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, etc.), and client account administration (RMD's, ACATs, cashiering/wires, journals, account opening, grant request fulfillment, etc.). Helpful (but not required) to have experience with securities trade processing. Must have a 4-year Undergraduate Degree and at least 4 years of working experience for a financial services firm. Encouraged to have a desire for advanced education as a financial professional, including Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. Duties include New Client Onboarding Process: Receiving new client introductions from Advisors and working with the new client to open custodial accounts (we primarily use Fidelity, Schwab, & Pershing for custody but have many other asset custodians for accounts such as 529 plans and specialized trust companies), transfer accounts, advisory agreements, set up billing specs, shepherd and reconcile the transfers of any accounts, initiate any specific requests/mandatory items such as RMDs, automatic income distributions, etc., set up permanent folder systems and enter client into our CRM along with scheduled follow up items, and generally maintain the on-boarding checklist. Current Client Administrative and Cashiering Services: Fielding calls/email requests from clients for wires, deposits (confirming Advisors are notified), developing strong a rapport with key clients and family office administrators (for those clients that have family offices not run by our firm) to understand the ongoing administrative service needs associated with the family or business and proactively handling client items. This can include annual RMDs, 1099 and costs basis requests, statement copies, tracking periodic scheduled items such as IPS/risk-tolerance "check-ups", annual review invites, keeping client files in SEC audit-ready order, etc. Portfolio Reporting and Analysis: Quarterly performance reporting which includes reconciling client AUM in Reporting Platform vs custodial statement/online quarter-end balances, coordinating with our portfolio reporting service firm to confirm all client reports are generated and accurate (names, accounts, holdings, values, assets categorized properly, collating large-family office reports, etc.), reports are separated by advisor and notification to advisor is made for their review of the reports, final packaging and mailing/emailing/uploading of reports, generating intra-quarter performance reports for client meetings. Provide performance related commentary for refinement and use with clients. Financial Planning & Wealth Management Applications: Analyze information obtained from clients to determine strategies for meeting clients’ financial objectives. Assist with project-related and recurring wealth management applications. Assist with asset allocation and portfolio management decisions. Salary and Benefits Salary is competitive and negotiable.
