Mergers & Acquisitions Leader and Joint Venture Expert who has Initiated & closed multimillion-dollar deals.

Mark R. Ross is a Managing Director of Diamond Capital Advisors. Mark has over 30 years of experience leading companies to unprecedented growth, both as an entrepreneur and as a banker. He has closed over 25 transactions, with a combined value of over $500 million.

Prior to Diamond, Mark was a Managing Director at Chatsworth Securities; Mosaic Capital; and the founder and Managing Partner at Cogito Capital Partners, a corporate advisory firm working with rapidly growing, emerging technology companies on their scalability, infrastructure and media/ convergence strategies.

Mark co-founded AutoWeb [NASDAQ: “AWEB”], and spearheaded its merger in 2001 with Autobytel [NASDAQ: “ABTL”]. He then served as Vice-Chairman of Autobytel and as a senior member of the Board’s Audit Committee until 2012. He also founded and was CEO and Chairman of On Word Information which he later sold to Motorola. Mark has served on the Board of many early stage growth companies, such as iCastle.com, Salon [NASDAQ: “SALNC”], MoreDirect, and Mediaplex [NASDAQ: “MPLX”]. Currently, Mark serves on the Board of Chiller Ventures and CosmoMD.com.

Mr. Ross received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and pursued his graduate studies in education at the University of Massachusetts and at Hofstra University. He holds a Permanent Teacher’s Credential from the State of New York and Series 7, 63 and 79 with FINRA.

Mark is the proud father of his wonderful daughter, Caroline. Mark’s passions, other than caring for his family, are photography, skiing and cooking for friends and family.

    Pillan earned an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from UCLA.  When not helping advance a plant-centric future, Pillan enjoys playing beach volleyball and trying to reclaim his glory days of playing collegiate baseball and basketball at MIT.
